The countdown is on! Less than 3 weeks to go until our awesome Ride to the Red Centre gets under way. It's really shaping up to be the biggest Black Dog Ride yet, undertaking our mission to raise awareness of depression and help break down the stigma which still prevents over 50% of sufferers from seeking treatment.

Riders from all over Australia

 So far we have nearly 80 riders registered to go all the way to Glen Helen Resort just west of the Alice and hundreds of other riders joining us for the start in Perth and Sydney. There's still time to register for this wonderful adventure and by participating you can be part of something which is making a difference in the battle against an illness which will affect 1 in 5 people. This isn't just a statistic, it could be a member of your family, your best friend, a work colleague or you! 

Virtual Ride to the Red Centre

If you don't ride a motor bike or can't get away to join the ride, no worries. You can still be involved by following us on Twitter and take a virtual ride. 

Exercise Your Mood

The Black Dog Institute's mission is to advance the understanding, diagnosis and management of the mood disorders by continuously raising clinical, research, education and training standards. In so doing, the Institute aims to improve the lives of those affected - and in turn - the lives of their families and friends. They are about to launch  Exercise Your Mood Week  and our Ride to the Red Centre was the first event registered to participate in this exciting national initiative.

Lomax Media to film the Ride

We are excited to announce that Lomax Media are sending a camera crew along on the WA leg of our Ride to the Red Centre to capture all the action. This was made possible by the generosity of Forrest Personell  and iconic W.A. car dealer John Hughes .

Currently we are seeking sponsorship to enable us to have Lomax provide a film crew for the Sydney leg of the ride. Please contact Steve on 0408 868 500 if you can help.
